New shoes

After last night's debacle, I dragged the front wheels/tires down to Ron's Tire & Brake in Ramona to let them deal with it.

I felt a little better after it took them the better part of 30 minutes to get the tires mounted. Even with a pneumatic bead breaker the one tire they had to dismount was difficult to get off the wheel. Seating the beads took some doing as well. It ended up taking two people, an air hose, a tie strap, and one of those air cannons.

At least they got it done. We'll find out how these tires work when Earl and I go to El Mirage this weekend.
