At some point in time, a previous owner of my TRX250R had replaced the original petcock with a generic replacement. The replacement had two major issues:

1. The pickup tube was way taller than a factory unit, which cut the effective tank capacity by about 15%
2. Its position required you to snake your hand up over the hot engine to switch between on, off, and reserve

After burning my hand one time too many doing the hot-hand-petcock-shuffle, I finally ordered a factory pickup and remote-mount petcock, and installed it this evening. I also replaced all of the fuel lines. It'll be so much nicer to be able to shut the fuel off without groping around under the tank for 5 minutes.

I case you were wondering, the strainer/pickup is Honda part #227505 and the petcock is part #227707. I got both from Bike Bandit.
